Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and
Postpress (CIP4) organization is an international association consisting of
over 130 members. CIP4's main objective is to develop and foster
implementation of the Job Definition Format (JDF) specification. JDF is a
W3C-compliant XML schema that provides:

1989. In 1991, EFI introduced Fiery color servers and today over one million
EFI print controllers have been sold and installed in leading corporations
the world. EFI is diversifying into new areas, with a particular emphasis on
developing software solutions for the professional workflow solutions,
controller solutions and enterprise markets. In 2000, EFI announced that it
would develop Velocity workflow software for production-level professional
printing environments. Most of EFI’s new software solutions have been
developed with the express goal of automating print processes and
streamlining workflow via integrated and interoperable EFI products,
services and solutions. |

(International Digital Enterprise Alliance) is a not-for-profit membership
organization. Its mission is to advance user-driven, cross-industry
solutions for all publishing and content-related processes by developing
standards, fostering business alliances, and identifying best practices. IDEAlliance has been a leader in information technology since 1966 (founded
as Graphic Communications Association) having fostered the development and
adoption of standards such as GRACoL, ICE, papiNet, PRISM, PROSE XML, SPACE
XML, SGML, and XML. |

Organized in 1948,
TAGA is the only global professional technical association for the graphic
arts industries. TAGA, which has over 900 individual members worldwide, also
maintains the industry's best permanent set of technical papers and
abstracts. TAGA serves the CTO, CIO, and R&D management personnel of
printers, publishers, and pre-media companies, as well as engineers and
scientists employed by graphic arts systems and equipment providers, ink
manufacturers, and paper manufacturers. TAGA focuses on graphic arts
systems, software, and computer technology developments, as well as the more
traditional areas of press, ink, and paper engineering applications. |

workflow services primarily to the graphic arts sector, Vio has deep
experience in the managed distribution of media for the members of that
industry, especially the publishing, printing & packaging, prepress and
advertising communities. Following its acquisition by Citizen in 2001, Vio
has expanded its services to encompass the managed distribution of data for
providers of professional services and corporates; the general provision of
Virtual Community Networks; and a range of operational services such as
Security Services and ISP and Internet Management services. |
